Ahri: double a recalled champion and replay the payoff

Ahri · from r/LegendsOfRuneterra · 2026-10-14

A pre-six-star relic plan that funds a doubling spell and rewards Recall and replaying Ahri.

Build

Needs 3★Champion level 25

Overview

Ahri can retain permanent buffs through Recall, then replay them as a larger champion. This is a doubling-spell, spell-mana and direct-strike setup; a Health-based version is the main alternative. This three-star plan doesn't count on the extra Nexus strike on Recall from the sixth star.

The build

Hymn of Valor

When I'm summoned, create a Redoubled Valor in hand. It costs 3.

The created doubling spell turns a small champion into a significant replay payoff.

Lost Chapter

Play: Refill your spell mana.

The Play-trigger refill helps pay for the doubling spell after Ahri is played. A summon without playing her does not trigger this refill.

The Curator's Gatebreaker

-1|-0
Play: I strike the enemy Nexus.

The play-trigger Nexus strike converts grown attack into direct damage each time the champion is replayed.

How to play

Play Ahri to refill spell mana, then cast the generated Redoubled Valor on her. The two-star Whispers From Past Lives preserves permanent stat buffs and keywords when she is Recall, and discounts the returned unit. Plan enough mana and a Recall effect to play her again.

On replay, The Curator's Gatebreaker converts the retained Power into direct Nexus damage. The newly generated doubling spell can increase that permanent investment again. You do not have to cast it after every replay once Ahri is already large enough to finish. Extra casts take mana and another action, so compare them with simply replaying the existing payoff.

At six stars, Parting Gift adds a Nexus strike on Recall itself. That's a bonus on top, not part of the three-star plan. Cost reductions and Recall access improve the sequence, but the relic trio alone does not guarantee an infinite.

Drafting and alternatives

Stalker's Blade or Guardian's Orb also work in the third slot, and Echoing Spirit is a consistency upgrade once you have it. Those change the payoff from direct Nexus damage to removal or item generation.

The detailed comparison proposes Echoing Spirit, Strength of Stone and The Curator's Gatebreaker as a separate Formidable plan. It emphasizes repeated smaller strikes from growing Health instead of spending spell mana on doubling. Entry-effect ordering matters: the first strike may occur before Formidable is granted, so do not copy its damage tables without checking the sequence and upgrades.

Star-power checkpoint

Spirit's Blessing II

When you summon or Recall an ally, grant it Spirit.
