Jax: Living Weapon into a second attack
Jax · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14
Forge the Light of Icathia repeatedly, then
Rally on level-up to attack again with larger equipment.
Build
Overview
Attack early with equipped units, grow the equipment and take another attack when
Jax levels.
Living Weapon adds Forge on Play, Attack and Round Start.
Crownguard Inheritance supplies the follow-up attack, while
The Beast Within makes your whole equipped board harder to chump-block.
It's his most popular trio in guide builds and player votes. His existing guide uses team
Challenger in the Forge slot. Choose this version for stronger equipment over repeated attacks; choose that one when pulling specific blockers matters more.
The build
Living Weapon
The equipped champion Forge on Play, Attack and Round Start. When he has equipment, the +1|+1 goes to that equipment, increasing its contribution to future attacks and letting you move those stats to another unit if needed. Round Start requires him to remain in play.
Crownguard Inheritance
When the champion levels,
Rally. Spending the first token on an attack that levels him can open a second attack immediately, with another Forge and another round of star-power attack growth. It grants a token rather than stacking multiple unused tokens.
The Beast Within
All allies have
Overwhelm, and those with a subtype gain +1|+1. Your Weaponmaster units benefit from the extra stats before the champion is drawn, and large equipment can push damage past small blockers. The full trio needs level 30's third Rare slot and two epic upgrades.
How to play
Keep
Jax and affordable equipped followers.
Ionian Hookmaster and
Piltovan Castaway help build several equipped attackers rather than putting every resource into one unit. Develop on curve so the first attack advances the champion's level condition and grows the board.
Attack when your equipped units can survive the trades. Forge and the three-star attack buff increase the equipment as well as the carrier's damage potential. Watch the level condition before committing: when the first attack levels him, use Crownguard's token for a second attack with the stronger equipment and another Forge trigger.
If a carrier dies, use the equipment on another suitable unit instead of treating all its accumulated stats as lost. Your two-star power draws when an equipped ally dies, helping you find the next carrier. Keep mana for
Catch! when its equipment or combat buff changes a decisive trade; an overcommitted second attack can still leave you open to a lethal reply.
Drafting and alternatives
Prioritize cheap Weaponmasters, equipment and champion draw over an expensive support package. Items that keep an early equipped attacker alive let it benefit from more attack triggers. Additional ways to attack are useful when the enemy survives the level-up
Rally.
Laurent Bladerack in his other guide gives your board
Challenger and more control over trades.
Death's Foil instead protects the equipped champion while attacking if enemy combat stats are too large for Forge alone. You lose either team damage or the immediate
Rally if you make another swap, so choose around the encounter.
Star-power checkpoint
Last Light of Icathia II at three stars grants an attacking ally +1|+1 and gives its equipment +2|+0 when it is equipped.
Living Weapon adds Forge to that equipment, and Crownguard gives another attack to use both effects again.
Relentless Assault supplies starting mana and a draw when an equipped ally dies.
