Kindred: revive copies and clear marked enemies on entry

Kindred · from r/LegendsOfRuneterra · 2026-10-14

Use repeated champion entries to mark enemies, reduce marked health and trigger a board-damage relic.

Build

Needs 3★Champion level 30

Overview

Kindred uses Spirit Journey to kill and revive a Deathless champion, repeatedly applying entry effects. The engine is her signature relic, and the popular loadout is Mark of the Kindred / Echoing Spirit / Whirling Blade. It works around the three-star death engine; the sixth-star strike upgrade is separate.

The build

Mark of the Kindred

Deathless keeps the revival chain supplied with bodies. Each summon marks the weakest enemy and reduces its health to one, setting up the damage slot.

Whirling Blade

Each summon or Attack deals one to enemies and their Nexus. Put the marking relic above it so the health reduction resolves first. Tough, Barrier or other protection can stop one damage from finishing the marked enemy.

Echoing Spirit

Seven extra champion copies improve access and become discounted champion spells while a copy is alive. Some players prefer keyword collection or a cost-reducing first slot instead.

How to play

Keep mana for Spirit Journey once Kindred is in play. Killing and reviving a Deathless champion can leave more than one champion body, while each new entry applies the signature’s marking and health reduction. The board-damage relic then removes susceptible marked targets.

Extra champion copies improve access to the repeat spell. Check relic order and the enemy’s remaining protections before expecting the damage to finish a marked target. Continue the death-and-entry cycle while the surviving bodies threaten attacks; do not spend all your spell mana on an unrelated play when it leaves the engine exposed.

Drafting and alternatives

Preserve mana for Spirit Journey and space for revived bodies. The two-star power creates the spell each Round Start and discounts an existing copy; extra champion copies are another route to it.

Without the signature, run Guardian Angel with Stalker's Blade, sometimes two blades. A different plan uses Price of Retribution, Echoing Spirit and Guardian's Orb to exploit repeated entries for items. These alternatives change the entry payoff; they do not supply the signature's guaranteed mark and one-health setup.

Star-power checkpoint

Ashes to Ashes II

Round Start: Summon a Prey if you don't have one. When you slay allied or marked units, deal 2 to the enemy Nexus.
