Nilah: Oath and double Star Gem
Nilah · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14
Turn
Nilah’s draw and
Fleeting copies into a board of discounted, doubled-stat champions.
Build
Overview
Oath of the Guardians supplies finishers, while two
Star Gem make them cheaper. Drawing a created champion as a
Fleeting card lets the star power copy it, turning the draw engine into immediate board pressure.
Players repeatedly recommend this combination for her draw-heavy deck. It plays differently from the existing self-target growth guide: keep the champion alive as a discount carrier and let the generated champions win combat.
The build
Oath of the Guardians
Playing the carrier shuffles five level-two champions with doubled stats into the deck and draws a champion. This is a Play trigger: a copied unit being summoned does not activate another Oath.
Two
Star Gem
Each carrier gives allied champions +1|+1 and makes them cost two less while it is in play. Two Gems provide four cost reduction. If a
Fleeting champion play produces a second carrier, both carriers contribute their auras. Those discounts disappear when a carrier leaves play; do not treat them as permanent reductions.
Level 30 unlocks the third Rare slot. Oath also needs an Epic slot upgrade.
How to play
Keep
Nilah and an affordable draw or defensive card. Playing her for two mana starts the Oath plan without needing a
Fleeting opening copy. Afterward, use
Pool Shark,
Pick a Card and
Vikrash the Exuberant to find the added champions.
At three stars, choose the first two
Fleeting unit or spell plays carefully. A useful
Fleeting champion generally contributes more than duplicating a weak card simply because it is free. Leave board space for the copied unit; leave hand space for draw.
Discarded cards recycle into the deck and schedule
Fleeting draws next Round Start. They do not guarantee that the next drawn card is the one discarded. Drawing too much with a full hand can still burn useful cards, and an empty deck is still dangerous. Once you have a winning board, stop drawing unnecessarily and attack before spending more resources.
Drafting and alternatives
Champion discounts, protection, draw discounts and reliable early blockers help the plan. Favor a support package you can play cheaply and whose keywords complement the random champions. Avoid loading the deck with expensive followers that cannot benefit from the Gem discounts.
The Grand General's Counterplan or
The Gravedigger's Spade can replace a Gem when you want a reliable source of
Fleeting cards, at the cost of two champion discount.
Corrupted Star Fragment is another plan for clearing crowded boards and growing one attacker. The growth guide is a better fit when you want
Nilah herself to be the finisher.
Star-power checkpoint
Three-star
Joy Unbound II copies the first two
Fleeting units or spells you play each round. Two-star
Water Recycler gives starting mana, discard recycling and delayed
Fleeting draw. At one star only the first
Fleeting play is copied, so the two-copy turn described here needs three stars. Oath itself works on a normal champion play without any
Fleeting requirement.
