Shyvana: Deathless copies and recycled keywords

Shyvana · from r/LegendsOfRuneterra · 2026-10-14

Repeat dragon entries and champion spells while Deathless and keyword collection keep Shyvana on board.

Build

Needs 4★Champion level 30

Overview

Shyvana can build around repeated summons and stolen keywords without her signature. At four stars, the go-to combination is Echoing Spirit / Voidborne Carapace / Guardian Angel. Entry strikes and champion copies matter more than owning a particular paid relic.

The build

Echoing Spirit

Game Start: Create 7 copies of me in deck. Champion Spells cost 1 less.

More champion copies improve access to the engine and its champion spell. Copies in hand become spells while the champion is on board; the spell discount makes repeated casts easier.

Guardian Angel

+0|+2 and Deathless.
Start adventures with +2 Revives.

Deathless helps preserve a champion entry after a death and the adventure revives add recovery options. The revived champion is not automatically safe from subsequent removal.

Voidborne Carapace

Evolve. When ANY unit dies, grant me its keywords.

Keywords from dying units help the champion scale into a payoff. The slot needs deaths to occur before its keyword collection contributes.

How to play

Develop dragons to use the summon-strike star power, then use additional Shyvana copies as champion spells when she is alive. The Deathless relic creates recovery after death; other copies can collect keywords from the unit that died.

Lifesteal collected from enemy units keeps you alive when a dragon strikes. That keyword must actually be acquired; do not assume the starting loadout supplies it. Preserve enough board space for revived copies and avoid Capture or Obliterate effects that bypass the death plan.

Voidborne Carapace gains keywords only after units die. Against keyword-heavy opponents, protect the champion until those deaths supply the engine. Lifesteal on an entry strike can recover health, but this build does not start with Lifesteal.

Drafting and alternatives

Look for champion cost reduction, extra copies and protection. This four-star setup uses the three-star dragon entry Strike; four stars adds a Tough Nexus. The sixth star additionally draws a unit on allied attacks and summons it attacking if it is a Dragon. That attack printing is not part of the four-star badge.

For a more aggressive strike plan, run Draconic Runes or The Beast Within with Echoing Spirit and Stalker's Blade. They disagree that the signature is mandatory. Its conditional Dragon bonus doesn't activate Starforged Gauntlets before the game, so don't count on it for starting mana.

For the sixth-star attack plan, cut weak non-Dragon units so attack draws more often summon useful Dragons. At lower stars, weigh those cuts against the early blockers you need to survive.
