The Poro King: keyword thresholds and special Snax

The Poro King wins through a growing board of cheap Poros and repeated snacks. The keyword package makes the Round Start stat bonus easier to activate; protection helps keep the board intact. This six-star version also creates Special Snax from Poro plays. The champion is an engine piece, and you should keep developing Poros rather than waiting for him to win alone.

Royal Nibbles

Discounts the champion according to your Poros. Its earlier entry supports additional snack generation; count your actual board before planning a free play.

Spirit of the Buhru

Gives one-cost Poros Fury, Quick Attack and Overwhelm. Those distinct keywords help reach the star-power threshold while making the small attackers more useful.

Black Shield

Adds Spellshield to protect allies. Together with the cheap-unit keyword package, it provides four distinct keywords for the Round Start growth check, provided an eligible ally survives.

Start with affordable Poros and establish at least four unique allied keywords before Round Start. The three-star power then grants team stats. Repeated copies of the same keyword still count only once. Play the champion when the Poro-based discount makes him affordable, without sacrificing your defenses just to rush him out.

Use Poro Snax and generated Special Snax to scale the team. Six-star Poro plays create a snack or discount the copy already in hand. The tenth snack played transforms enemies into Poros; count actual snack plays rather than assuming the first few casts produce this payoff. A good draft can accelerate the plan, but its key spell items are not guaranteed.

Trifarian Might helps sufficiently large summoned Poros remove enemies before combat. Prioritize affordable bodies and access to snacks, then protect the growing board.

Chemtech Duplicator is an alternative for repeated snack casts after six mana gems. It needs the champion on board and the gem threshold, so it does little for an unprepared opening. Secret Technique is an earlier buff option, but note: spell buffs are doubled for units in play, not automatically for every future Poro affected by an Everywhere spell. Choose the scaling method around the board you actually have.

Snaxplosion

When you play a poro, create a random Special Snax in hand or reduce its cost by 1 if you already have one.
Each game, when you play your tenth Snax, transform all enemies into random poros.
