Warwick: repeated damage and protected stat growth

Warwick · from r/LegendsOfRuneterra · 2026-10-14

Deal many separate damage instances, grow allies and preserve the board with team Spellshield.

Build

Needs 6★Champion level 30

Overview

Warwick has two plans: team-focused growth, or a champion-centered damage package. This build runs Black Shield, The Beast Within and Stacked Deck. It protects the first board and gives it Nexus reach while separate damage instances increase Attack Power; the six-star kills add the Health and healing the board otherwise lacks.

The build

The Beast Within

Power: Allies have Overwhelm, and if they have a subtype, +1|+1.

Team Overwhelm converts large units into Nexus damage through smaller blockers. Units with a subtype also receive the stated stat bonus.

Stacked Deck

+200 Starting Gold.
Power: Allies have +1|+1 for every 12 cards in your deck past 18 at game start.

The board gains stats from the number of cards in your starting deck. Drafting more useful cards strengthens later fights; cards added after game start are not automatically included in that count.

Black Shield

Power: When you summon an ally, grant it Spellshield.

Team Spellshield protects the board from one hostile spell or Skill each. It gives setup time but must not be treated as permanent immunity after the shield is consumed.

How to play

Use cheap damage and the champion’s strike access to accumulate damage events. The star power grows allies according to the number of times damage has been dealt; a single large hit is not automatically many events. At six stars allied kills also heal and add health and Impact.

Develop the buffed units, use removal to weaken a target that your ally can actually kill, then attack through blockers with team Overwhelm. Team Spellshield protects the early board, but remember it is consumed by an eligible hostile effect.

Drafting and alternatives

Keep inexpensive damage and units that contribute before the champion arrives. Used Cask Salesman provides small bodies and extra damage events; disposable allies can still matter even when their printed Attack Power is zero. Make useful purchases for starting-deck stats without crowding out the playable opener.

The detailed alternative uses Cruel Experiments with Corrupted Star Fragment. The relic's damage helps the damage counter; consuming a sufficiently strong ally consolidates stats on Warwick and can interact with his six-star kill payoff. This shifts value from keeping a wide protected board toward building the champion.

Echoing Spirit improves access to another champion copy. Stalker's Blade adds another entry Strike. Be careful with Disciple of Shadows: its Play damage can destroy small attackers that already got useful star-power scaling.

A unit summoned already attacking doesn't count as declaring another attack for every relic. Do not add a guaranteed trigger solely because a small unit appeared mid-attack.

Star-power checkpoint

Eternal Hunger III

Allies Have +1|+0 for every 3 times you've dealt damage this game. When an ally kills a unit, heal it fully and grant it +0|+3 and Impact
