Yasuo: entry stuns and keyword collection for a control finish

Yasuo · from r/LegendsOfRuneterra · 2026-10-14

A three-star control build that Stun on entry and level-up, then collects keywords from dead units to close the game.

Build

Needs 3★Champion level 25

Overview

Yasuo needs to survive until his Stun engine is established. The plan: entry Stun, a board Stun on level-up and keyword collection. This accessible setup controls enemies before attacking; it does not assume the six-star Recall power or guarantee a particular difficult clear.

The build

Tempest Blade

Stun the entire enemy board when Yasuo levels. His Stun reactions can convert that into damage or strikes against multiple enemies, creating a large control swing.

Everfrost

Stun the strongest enemy when Yasuo enters. This contributes to his level-up count and supplies immediate interaction without requiring enough Attack to kill an enemy through a relic strike.

Voidborne Carapace

Grants keywords when any unit dies. As Yasuo removes Stun enemies, useful keywords can help him survive, heal or push damage. Which keywords appear depends on the units that actually die.

How to play

Keep Fae Bladetwirler and inexpensive interaction while looking for Yasuo. Steel Tempest stops an attacker; Concussive Palm also leaves a body. The three-star power Stun the strongest enemy at Round Start, and Yasuo reacts to those Stun after he is established.

Track his Stun/Recall level-up requirement. The entry Stun can finish that count if enough previous effects have resolved; it does not always level him from an empty counter. Level-up triggers the board Stun and creates a safer attack. This build doesn't Rally by itself. Keep a response for new enemies played after the Stun window.

Drafting and alternatives

The Grand General's Counterplan provides another champion spell each Round Start, while Echoing Spirit improves champion access and spell discounts. Those are consistency alternatives when the opening draw is the main problem.

Yasuo's Windblade is his signature option for additional starting mana and Stun access. Black Shield can protect the champion when removal repeatedly stops the engine. Some players prefer Chosen by the Stars to collecting unpredictable keywords. Keep the choice tied to your adventure and upgrades rather than assuming one list is universally best.
