Zoe: one-mana Oath and double Star Gem
Zoe · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14
Play
Zoe cheaply, draw a doubled-stat champion and use two Star Gems to bring the next threat down early.
Build
Overview
A one-mana champion is a cheap carrier for
Oath of the Guardians. Two
Star Gem reduce the cost of the added champions while she remains in play, supplying an alternate combat finish alongside her Celestial cards.
Players suggest this exact Oath package, but also report that the fragile carrier and random champion draw can struggle in the hardest fights. The existing Celestial-engine guide invests in her own card generation instead; this build spends those slots on large allied champions.
The build
Oath of the Guardians
On Play, shuffle five level-two champions into the deck with doubled stats, then draw a champion. Those are shuffled and drawn cards, not
Invoke or Manifest cards. The six-star
Invoke/Manifest discount does not halve their costs.
Two
Star Gem
Each gives allied champions +1|+1 and reduces their costs by two while its carrier is in play. Two copies give four discount. Losing the carrier removes both auras, so keep protection available before relying on a hand of discounted champions.
Level 30 fits three Rare-or-better slots; Oath needs one Epic slot upgrade. The duplicate Gems are intentional.
How to play
Keep
Zoe and useful early protection or draw. Play her when the Oath draw can advance your turn, then check the champion’s actual cost before committing other mana. A random high-cost champion may still be unaffordable after four discount.
Use
Supercool Starchart and the rest of the deck’s
Invoke tools to develop a useful board, remove threats or find defensive keywords. The additional unique cards can help the champion’s level-up, but you do not need to delay a winning attack merely to finish it.
Preserve the discount carrier against cheap removal. If you have to lose her, reassess your hand at full costs and use the Celestial plan to stabilize. Your added champions do not all arrive with protection, and their doubled stats do not prevent
Silence,
Stun or transformation.
Drafting and alternatives
Take champion discounts, draw, protection and affordable control. Choose Celestial cards according to their current adventure items, costs and the enemy board rather than expecting every random item roll to be beneficial.
Black Shield replacing a Gem protects summoned allies but loses two champion discount.
Hidden Tome supplies spell mana when a champion is played or levels up. The existing
Space Puppy!!! plan focuses on Celestial generation. These alternatives give up part of the Oath burst to improve consistency or control.
Star-power checkpoint
Two-star
Celestial Herald provides starting mana and gives allies Power when you
Invoke or Manifest. Three-star
More Sparkles! II grants Celestial cards two adventure-long random items. Six-star
Whoa, Cool Star Power! discounts cards you
Invoke or Manifest by half their base cost, rounded up; it does not discount Oath draws. The Oath-and-Gems engine itself does not require six stars.
