Ashe: triple Gatebreaker at six stars

Ashe · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14

Grow Ashe in hand by freezing large enemies, then play her for three Nexus strikes.

Build

Needs 6★Champion level 30

Overview

Keep Ashe in hand while her six-star power turns enemy attack into allied attack. Three copies of The Curator's Gatebreaker then convert her accumulated power into three Nexus strikes when you play her. It's her most popular build in 10★ clears, guide builds and player votes.

Her freeze-control guide develops her early for recurring spells and favorable combat. Here you delay her deployment until the play effects can finish the game. Big enemy units become fuel for the finisher, provided you can survive them.

The build

Three The Curator's Gatebreaker slots

Each relic reduces her attack by one and makes her strike the enemy Nexus when played. Equip three separate copies for three strikes. All three are Rare, so the complete build unlocks at level 30 without epic-slot upgrades.

The total stat penalty is -3 attack. Read her displayed attack after buffs and relic penalties; do not calculate lethal from her printed base stats. If nothing modifies damage, three strikes deal three times her current attack. A Tough Nexus or a damage cap changes that calculation.

These are Play effects. A summoned copy does not automatically repeat the three strikes.

How to play

Mulligan for Ashe, Frostbite and affordable blockers. Play expendable followers from hand so fewer units compete with her for the random six-star buffs. Keep enough defense to survive; an empty hand is not worth taking lethal damage.

Use Flash Freeze on a large attacker when it both stops damage and transfers a large amount of power. Repeatedly freezing a unit already at zero attack does not remove more power. Icevale Archer supplies another targeted freeze while adding a blocker.

Before playing her, compare three times her displayed attack with the enemy Nexus health and check enemy damage prevention. If the strikes will not finish, wait behind another freeze when it is safe. After you play her, later hand buffs no longer increase that copy: the in-hand scaling is why holding her matters.

Drafting and alternatives

Favor extra Frostbite, draw and cheap blockers over an expensive second carry. Trifarian Might is a useful way to turn your large units into board control as you develop them. Smaller hands of units concentrate the random buffs, while spells still give you actions and protection.

One alternative replaces a Gatebreaker with The Beast Within, giving the rest of your board Overwhelm if you fail to draw her. You lose one Nexus strike and must recalculate lethal. Below six stars, use the spell-control guide instead of expecting this hand-scaling finish.

Star-power checkpoint

Gift of Avarosa is the six-star engine: decreasing enemy power distributes the removed amount among allies in hand. It fuels the three Nexus strikes. The regular round-start Frostbite and first-enemy-summon freeze supply control while you wait; without the six-star power, the rapid attack scaling isn't there.
