Bard: turn-one Chimes with Titanic ramp
Bard · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14
Make
Bard Titanic before the game starts, gain an extra mana gem and plant Chimes from the first round.
Build
Overview
Start the game with
Bard already Titanic:
Luminous Orb raises his health to eight, activating
Starforged Gauntlets. With two stars, that puts you at three starting mana gems and starts the origin's Chime planting on round one.
Echoing Spirit adds champion copies to increase that planting rate.
This is the most popular trio in his collected builds. Unlike his recurring spell guide, it spends two relic slots on immediate mana and an earlier origin rather than guaranteed spell generation each round. The buffs still land randomly, so plan your first blocks before relying on a large carry.
The build
Echoing Spirit
Game Start adds seven champion copies to your deck and reduces the cost of champion spells by one. More starting copies mean more Chimes planted by the origin. Extra copies drawn while he is on board also supply his champion spell.
Luminous Orb
The +0|+3 makes the base 2|5 champion reach eight health and qualify as Titanic before any Chimes.
Sharpsight also lets him block
Elusive attackers. This stat relic is the switch that makes the mana relic work, rather than relying on a buff drawn later.
Starforged Gauntlets
At Game Start, a Titanic equipped champion in deck or hand supplies +1 starting mana. You do not need to draw or play him first. Two epic slots need upgrades, and the third Rare slot opens at level 30.
How to play
Keep an affordable unit to use the extra mana immediately. Do not mulligan every playable follower away for
Bard: the origin already plants Chimes without him on board. Develop units that have gained stats in hand so their summon triggers the star power's random keywords.
Inspect those keywords before choosing trades.
Lifesteal can restore your Nexus if you roll it;
Elusive can turn a large unit into a finisher. Neither is guaranteed, and a full board can leave you unable to deploy a better buffed draw.
Once
Bard is safe on board, use extra copies as his champion spell to draw and activate Boon. Spend mana on defense before chasing more Chimes. Playing too many unbuffed units or filling your hand with champion spells can leave the large stats on cards you cannot use.
Drafting and alternatives
Favor draw, affordable bodies and ways to preserve a buffed board. Keep enough units in the deck for the Chimes to create real attackers; extra spell copies alone do not block. Champion items that improve survival make it safer to keep attacking for more Chimes.
For a cheaper collection,
The Chameleon's Necklace provides fewer starting champion copies. It can replace Echoing while you retain the Titanic ramp pair, but it has no champion-spell discount. His spell guide instead uses
The Grand General's Counterplan and
Archangel's Staff for guaranteed recurring spell access and spell mana.
Star-power checkpoint
Cosmic Presence at two stars supplies the second starting mana gem; the Gauntlets supply the third. It also plants two Chimes when you draw a card carrying Chimes. The two-star requirement is for the round-one origin start. At three stars,
Caretaker's Blessing II improves the random-keyword payoff from one keyword to two when you summon an ally with buffed stats.
