Gwen: Disciple, Scout and boosted snips

Gwen · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14

Turn the opening Hallowed board into a free Gwen, then attack twice with Scout and stronger Drain Skill.

Build

Needs 6★Champion level 30

Overview

At six stars, Gwen starts with four Ghastly Band bodies and an attack token. Disciple of Shadows converts that board into a free champion and Hallowed deaths. Galeforce gives her two attack opportunities, while Luden's Tempest strengthens each damage instance from her attack Skill.

This trio leads her collected build support. Her existing guide keeps team Challenger and deck-size scaling; this version commits to a fast champion-led finish. Enemy Stun, Recall or a Nexus damage cap can force you beyond the opening burst, where Galeforce's shuffle becomes a real cost.

The build

Disciple of Shadows

Each ally in play reduces her cost by one. Playing her deals three to all other allies: your opening Hallowed bodies become Hallowed stacks, and that damage can meet her level condition before she attacks. Extra health on those allies can change how many actually die, so inspect the board after the effect.

Galeforce

Scout allows a first attack with only Scout units, then returns an attack token for your full attack. Declare the Scout-only attack before adding non-Scout followers. At Round End, the equipped champion is shuffled into your deck; she is not Recall to hand. If the first turn does not finish, another copy or draw is needed to replay her.

Luden's Tempest

While she is in play, spells and Skill deal one extra damage. Her leveled Drain Skill has repeated damage instances, so this slot improves both finishing damage and healing. It does not increase Disciple's relic damage as if that were a spell or Skill. Unlock the third Rare slot at level 30 and upgrade one slot for Disciple.

How to play

Keep Gwen and a cheap follower. After the opening Hallowed units arrive, play her at the reduced cost. Check whether the allied damage has leveled her, then use the remaining mana to set up the attackers you need.

Attack with her alone for the Scout attack. On the following full attack, place a living follower immediately to her left: the two-star Hallowed effect gives the next attacker the same Hallowed power increase, so she receives Hallowed from that ally as well as her own Hallowed interaction. More Hallowed power means a larger Drain on the second attack.

Avoid spending all your removal before the first attack if the enemy can stop her. A Stun or Recall can consume the opening window, and a unit that can kill her must still be respected if Quick Attack or Overwhelm does not solve it. When the enemy has a damage cap, preserve a second copy and enough blockers for the next round rather than assuming the first burst ends the encounter.

Drafting and alternatives

Prioritize champion draw, cost reduction for your setup follower and protection against the enemy's likely interaction. Extra champion copies can make the Round End shuffle less punishing. Health buffs to the disposable opening bodies can interfere with the planned sacrifice, so check their current health before counting Hallowed stacks.

Death's Foil trades Scout burst for safe attacks across multiple rounds. Crownguard Inheritance is useful in other versions, but can waste its Rally here when Disciple levels her before the first attack: the six-star power already supplied that attack token. For a board-focused plan, see her other guide.

Star-power checkpoint

Last Dance supplies the opening four Hallowed units and Rally at six stars. It is what makes the immediate free-deployment sequence reliable. Needlework supplies the second-attacker Hallowed interaction; use it on the full attack after the Scout swing.
