Lee Sin: spell buffs without waiting for Chemtech
Lee Sin · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14
Refill spell mana when champions enter through Play or level-up, double spell-based stat buffs and attack through blockers.
Build
Overview
Use doubled buff spells and team
Overwhelm to pressure the enemy before six mana gems.
Secret Technique strengthens the stat buffs you cast on allies in play,
Hidden Tome replenishes spell mana when you play or level a champion, and
The Beast Within helps any large attacker connect.
It's his most common trio in 10★ clears. The
Secret Technique and
Overwhelm pair beats slower setups; the Tome in the third slot is the less common part. His existing guide waits for spell duplication and a stat-doubling spell instead, offering a larger delayed burst.
The build
Hidden Tome
Its Power refills spell mana when you play or level any champion. A cheap support champion can provide resources before the five-cost main champion arrives. Simply summoning a champion copy is not a Play trigger.
Secret Technique
An ally in play gains twice the stats granted by a spell. Cast
Twin Disciplines on a useful attacker or blocker to get more from that mana. The separate second-spell star-power bonus is a power effect, so do not double it as if it were part of the spell's own stat grant.
The Beast Within
Your whole board has
Overwhelm, with +1|+1 for allies with subtypes. This supplies a way to win with another buffed unit when the main champion is unavailable or controlled. The full three-Epic build needs the level-30 third Rare slot and three epic upgrades.
How to play
Keep cheap units and an affordable spell pair.
Sonic Wave helps set up the two-spell turn; its level-six cost reduction is already available by the time you can equip this full build. Choose a cheap support champion when it gives you a useful early Tome refill.
Develop a body before spending buffs. Use the second spell when the strongest ally is a unit you want to carry the round's star-power bonus. Tome cannot refund spell mana already full, so spend useful mana before playing or leveling a champion when you can safely do so.
Once
Lee Sin is ready, use spells for his
Challenger and
Barrier, then choose a favorable challenge. Team
Overwhelm keeps large temporary buffs relevant even if another unit must attack instead. Save
Concussive Palm for an enemy attack that would otherwise be lethal; mana spent only to chase the second-spell bonus can leave you without defense.
Drafting and alternatives
Sorcery and spell-cost reduction help the expensive starting spell package. Cheap spells and useful early blockers matter more than a hand full of large combat tricks. Prefer targets already in play for the relic's doubled buffs.
The
Hymn of Valor /
Chemtech Duplicator /
Troll King's Crown build in his other guide can produce a large late burst, but Chemtech requires six mana gems. This version gives up that duplication to improve earlier buff turns and let a support champion contribute mana. Targeted removal and
Frostbite still threaten the final attack.
Star-power checkpoint
Dragon's Spirit II gives your strongest ally +8|+8 for the round when you play your second spell at three stars.
Extend your Senses supplies starting mana and a recurring
Fleeting
Twin Disciplines.
Secret Technique doubles the spell's stat buff, while the +8|+8 star-power bonus remains a separate effect.
