Mel: double Dreadway burn
Mel · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14
Generate four Warning Shots on entry and use escalating spell damage to finish through a crowded board.
Build
Overview
Two
Dreadway Chase Gun turn champion entry into a hand of free burn.
Echoing Spirit helps find the champion and makes her champion spell cheaper. At six stars, the first play of each spell each round also supplies a
Fleeting copy.
Players recommend double guns as a direct burn alternative to spell-control builds. The existing guide keeps mana refill and recurring champion spells; this version spends those slots on immediate Nexus damage. Guide builds and player votes back this trio, though there's no recorded 10★ clear with it yet.
The build
Two
Dreadway Chase Gun
Each summon creates two
Warning Shot. With two copies, that is four shots before other effects, provided your hand has room. The two-star damage scaling improves other copies as you play them. Their printed damage is not the damage every shot will deal later in the sequence.
Echoing Spirit
Seven extra champion copies improve access and discount her champion spell.
Rebuttal is useful protection and interaction when a burn hand cannot finish immediately.
Echoing Spirit does not replay the champion or refill unit mana by itself.
Level 30 fits the three relics, with an Epic slot upgrade for
Echoing Spirit.
How to play
Keep
Mel and enough early defense to reach her safely. Before developing her, count free hand slots: the two guns and her own generated spell compete for space. Use expendable cards first when that preserves important burn or protection.
Play Warning Shots individually and check the remaining Nexus damage after each resolution. At six stars, spend the extra
Fleeting copy before it expires. The copy effect is once per spell each round, so it does not create an unlimited chain of Warning Shots.
Use
Radiant Volley and other removal to kill units when the enemy board threatens lethal. Spell kills trigger the damage sweep; a Nexus-only
Warning Shot cannot kill a unit to start that sweep. Protect the champion if another turn of spells is necessary; do not sacrifice her without an affordable replacement.
Drafting and alternatives
Take cheap damage, draw, champion discounts and spell damage that improves your finish. Avoid expensive cards that crowd out playable spells.
Guardian Angel is a popular gun-build alternative for another summon after death, but its current
Deathless trigger is not an unrestricted replay engine.
For longer fights, the existing mana-and-champion-spell plan is an alternative.
Hidden Tome helps on play and level-up;
The Grand General's Counterplan supplies a
Fleeting champion copy each Round Start. Neither is included in this exact double-gun build.
Star-power checkpoint
Six-star
Soul's Reflection creates the additional
Fleeting spell copy, once per spell each round. Two-star
Strength & Strategy makes other copies of a damaging spell stronger Everywhere when you play it. Three-star
Sacrifice for Progress II improves spell-kill sweeps to two damage; it does not trigger merely from damaging the Nexus. Double guns can generate burn below six stars, but the extra-copy plan described here assumes six.
