Miss Fortune: Plunder into Shock & Awe

Miss Fortune · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14

Discount Miss Fortune to one mana and make a board of cheap attackers fire amplified Nexus-damage Skill.

Build

Needs 6★Champion level 30

Overview

Swain's Raven Army supplies opening Nexus damage for Packed Powder, making the three-cost champion a one-cost play. Shock & Awe turns cheap attackers into extra Nexus-damage Skill, amplified by the six-star combat power.

Players favor low-cost swarms and combat spell damage for fast clears. It's her most popular trio in guide builds and player votes. Compared with the existing recurring-spell guide, it exchanges refill and recurring champion spells for earlier pressure.

The build

Swain's Raven Army

Game Start Drain five from the enemy Nexus. When that damage connects, Plunder is ready before your first play. The champion-specific spell-mana refill does not apply to this carrier. Damage prevention can break the opening discount, so check the encounter rather than treating Plunder as unconditional.

Packed Powder

Plunder reduces the champion’s cost by two, allowing a one-cost entry. The relic also grows her for each different round in which you damage the Nexus. It counts rounds, not individual damage hits.

Shock & Awe

An attacking ally costing one or less plays a one-damage Nexus Skill. At six stars the combat damage bonus makes each such Skill much stronger. The power works from the start and does not require the champion to be present.

Level 30 and three Epic slot upgrades equip this trio.

How to play

Keep cheap attackers, Miss Fortune and playable combat damage. Develop enough units to make the first attack meaningful. Powder Monkey supplies another small attacker through the star power, and Crackshot Corsair adds attack-triggered damage.

At four stars, a champion entering at one cost can benefit from the one-cost summon buff. Check the actual cost and board instead of applying that buff to a full-price entry. Attack with multiple eligible units to stack Shock & Awe Skill; the champion herself can remain safe when her attack is unnecessary.

Cast Make it Rain during combat for the six-star damage bonus. The enemy’s attack also counts as combat, so holding damage can prevent a lethal counterattack. A board of small units can fail badly if the first swing does not finish; keep an answer rather than spending everything on weak additional bodies.

Drafting and alternatives

Prioritize affordable attackers, Scout, useful draw and combat interaction. Cut expensive followers that do not help the immediate plan. Forced unit draw on attack can be dangerous against draw-punishing encounters, so count hand space and remaining deck size.

Spirit of the Buhru replacing Raven Army improves cheap units’ combat, but requires another Plunder trigger. Echoing Spirit improves champion access and spell use. The existing Archangel's Staff and The Grand General's Counterplan route is an alternative when recurring control matters more than the opening swarm.

Star-power checkpoint

Six-star Guns Blazing adds four damage to spells and Skill while in combat, including on the enemy’s attack. Four-star Yipp's Genius grants +2|+2 when you summon a one-cost ally. Three-star Nothing but Powder Monkeys II summons a Powder Monkey every Round Start. Below six stars, Shock & Awe still works, but it lacks the amplified damage central to this finish.
