Mordekaiser · from community builds · 2026-10-18
Start with extra mana, discount the champion with allies and turn supported sacrifices into stats and revived bodies.
At a glance
Overview
Use
Mordekaiser's natural eight Health to activate extra starting mana, then discount his first Play with an allied board. Once he is established, consume a useful ally during attacks to gain its stats and keywords while his revival effect brings it back.
This three-star setup replaces the Deathless/keyword-collection loadout with earlier mana and deliberate support sacrifices. It can still build a strong revived support-champion board, but its relics don't make every copied unit permanent or prevent an overcrowded board.
The build
Starforged Gauntlets
The champion is naturally Titanic through his eight base Health, activating the starting-mana Power without another stat relic. Extra starting mana helps develop the allies that both defend and discount his eventual Play.
Disciple of Shadows
Each ally in play reduces his cost by one. Play damages the other allies, so calculate which defenders survive or revive before taking the discount. A cheap champion entry can still leave a dangerous opening if all the blockers disappear.
Corrupted Star Fragment
Support kills the ally immediately right of the champion and grants him its stats and keywords. His own ability revives an ally he slays while he is established. This turns an attack arrangement into growth and another useful summon, subject to available board space.
Build the board before the champion
Keep early allies and relevant removal.
Death's Grasp can answer a dangerous unit by sacrificing an ally, while
Mist's Call helps recover a useful body. Against an aggressive enemy, those cards can matter more than keeping an expensive champion in the opening hand.
Use generated
Indestructible on a unit worth recovering. A
Deathless return is a
Stun one-Health body, so it isn't the same immediate defender as a fresh healthy summon. Don't spend the effect on every disposable ally merely because it is available.
Once you can play the champion safely, consider his own Play kills as well as the Disciple damage. Your intended sequence needs enough space for the survivors and all revivals; selecting more sacrifices isn't automatically better.
Support a useful ally
Before attacking, put the ally whose stats and keywords you want directly to the champion's right. A useful summon effect can be worth repeating, and the two-star revival bonus adds Power and
Overwhelm to revived allies.
Be especially careful when the supported unit also has
Deathless. Its
Deathless return and the champion's revival can produce more bodies than expected. Leave room rather than losing a valuable unit to a full board.
A cheap support champion can be the real engine of the run. Draft around its useful effects and affordable revival tools instead of assuming the main champion must receive every card item. You can win with that board before reaching the expensive champion in some encounters.
Relic access and trade-offs
The Gauntlets are available through their Glory Store source, Disciple through Gold Reliquaries, and the Fragment through the Rare pool. Three stars is the champion's current normal star cap, so there is no assumed six-star discount in this setup.
The existing guide is another route when you prefer
Deathless and collected keywords. Here the support sacrifice is your selected growth engine. Avoid drafts that fill every board slot with unrelated generated bodies if they prevent the allies you actually want to revive from returning.
