Nunu & Willump: Found Fortune into copy-and-consume

Nunu & Willump · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14

Use Found Fortune for early tempo, copy a growing Snowball, then consume the original to keep its stats.

Build

Needs 6★Champion level 30

Overview

Found Fortune adds a free early card to the Spectral Scissors and Corrupted Star Fragment engine. Copy an expendable follower into combat, then eat the original to turn temporary board stats into permanent champion growth.

This trio wins runs, though opinions differ on how reliable he is in hard adventures. Compared with the existing protected-attacker guide, this version gives up attack protection for a faster start. It still needs safe attacks and useful draws.

The build

Found Fortune

On Play, draw the highest-cost card below the carrier’s base cost, grant it an Epic item and make it free. The champion costs two, so one-cost cards compete. Snowball is eligible, but so are Snownu & Ballump and Snowball Barrage. It is not a guaranteed Snowball until you remove competing cards and avoid adding new ones.

Spectral Scissors

Copies the supported follower into the attack, adding a draw when that follower is a Snowball. Equip it above Corrupted Star Fragment so the copy happens before the original is killed.

Corrupted Star Fragment

Consumes the supported ally and grants its stats and keywords to the carrier. This preserves value from an Ephemeral follower while leaving its copy attacking. Level 30 fits all three slots; two need Epic upgrades.

How to play

Keep Nunu & Willump and affordable development. Check what Found Fortune actually draws before planning the rest of the turn. Unit plays grow allies still in the deck; playing a Yeti or an expensive unit increases that grant rather than restricting the buff to Yetis.

When attacking, put the intended Snowball immediately to the champion’s right. Use its Challenger to pull a dangerous blocker away from the champion. Scissors makes the extra attacker before the original is consumed; leave board space for the copy and hand space for its draw.

At six stars, the first Snowball death while attacking each round gives a Rally. A consumed attacking Snowball can trigger it; a death outside an attack or an Obliterate cannot. The new attack token does not protect the champion, so check the opposing board before attacking again. Blizzard and Frostbite can make the next combat safer.

Drafting and alternatives

Prioritize cheap units, useful draw and protection. Cut competing one-cost cards if you want Found Fortune to reliably find Snowballs, and recheck the pool after every support package or purchase. Large numbers on deck cards do not help until you draw and play them.

Death's Foil in the other guide protects attacks. Black Shield helps against targeted disruption, while The Beast Within supplies team Overwhelm. Replacing Found Fortune with protection sacrifices its free-card opening rather than improving that opening for free.

Star-power checkpoint

Six-star Biggest Snowball Ever! grants stats to the top unit in the deck when an ally dies and rallies on the first attacking Snowball death each round. Three-star Call of the Freljord II improves deck-wide unit-play grants, and two-star Yeti Magic puts five Snowballs into the starting deck. Copy-and-consume works earlier, but the repeat-attack plan here assumes six stars.
