Vi: Searing draw into a Formidable board

Vi · from the PoC community · 2026-10-14

Turn extra spell draws into health and Impact, then activate Starforged Gauntlets after finding enough permanent champion health.

Build

Needs 3★Champion level 30

Overview

Build a wide Formidable board and keep drawing cards to increase its health and Impact. Searing Brilliance supplies a repeatable draw spell; Strength of Stone turns health into strike damage.

It's her most popular combination in 10★ clears and guide builds. This is an adventure-scaling build: the Gauntlets do not start active. Unlike the Packed Powder guide, it trades an earlier champion discount for extra draws and a mana bonus after you find the required health items.

The build

Strength of Stone

The carrier gains +0|+2. Its Power grants summoned allies +0|+1 and Formidable, letting them strike with current health. Drawing cards then adds health and Impact to your strongest ally through the star power. Damaged Formidable units hit less hard until healed.

Searing Brilliance

Game Start gives a random spell in your deck Mark of Medarda and adds four copies. The item's cost reduction and draw make that spell useful fuel for the health-and-Impact engine. A bad or expensive target can still slow you down; the mark does not guarantee an infinite loop.

Starforged Gauntlets

It grants starting mana only if the equipped champion is Titanic at Game Start. The base four health plus Stone's two is only six. You need another two permanent health, or eight attack, before a later battle begins. Stone's on-summon health and draw buffs arrive too late to activate this Game Start check. Level 30 and three Epic slot upgrades equip the trio.

How to play

Keep early units and a useful marked spell. Develop a unit before spending draw effects when possible, so the star-power health grants have an ally to receive them. Astute Academic and Veteran Investigator give the deck early bodies and draw, while Mystic Shot can remove a blocker without risking a damaged attacker.

Let your strongest ally accumulate health and Impact, but retain enough other units to block. Formidable uses health for strikes; it does not erase attack stats or prevent the champion from meeting her ten-attack level-up condition.

Play Vi when you can use Challenger to remove a key enemy and survive. Starting mana improves only in battles after sufficient permanent stats were acquired. Do not plan an opening around an inactive Gauntlets bonus. Against repeated Nexus pings, health on units alone will not protect the Nexus.

Drafting and alternatives

Prioritize inexpensive useful marked spells, draw, health items on the champion and healing for the board. A two-health champion item reaches the eight-health threshold with Stone. Inspect the deck before the next fight to confirm it.

Luminous Orb instead of Searing makes the Titanic ramp immediate with Stone. Stacked Deck offers a different scaling plan, while Black Shield protects the board. Against persistent Nexus damage, Turret Plating and Disarmed address problems the main trio does not solve. Six-star attack-in-hand builds with The Curator's Gatebreaker are a separate finisher plan, not required for this health engine.

Star-power checkpoint

Three-star Relentless Force II grants the strongest ally +0|+2 and two Impact per card drawn. Two-star Piltover's Finest adds starting mana and opening low-cost draws. Six-star We Run These Streets adds attack to allies in hand; it does not remove the earlier draw-to-health power, but that new attack does not directly increase Formidable strike damage.
