Viego: Titanic ramp and copied Mists

Spectral Scissors makes the champion Titanic for Starforged Gauntlets, while Disciple of Shadows turns early bodies into a cheaper entry and potential death triggers. Copying Encroaching Mist accelerates the scaling that makes later units Overwhelm.

This trio has been a favorite for a long time, including for Nightmares. The existing Rare-relic guide invests in a consume-and-strike champion; this build favors early access and extra Mist summons.

Spectral Scissors

Adds two Power: the champion’s base six becomes eight, meeting Titanic before any Mist has been summoned. On attack, supporting a follower grants it Ephemeral and summons an exact attacking copy. A copied Mist supplies another summon buff.

Starforged Gauntlets

The eight-Power carrier qualifies at Game Start, granting a starting mana gem. You do not have to wait for an in-game Mist buff, and later buffs would not retroactively activate this opening effect.

Disciple of Shadows

Each ally in play reduces the carrier’s cost by one. On Play, deal three to every other ally. Disposable bodies can die to start the champion and star-power Mist triggers; large allies may survive. Those deaths do not refund mana already paid for this champion play.

Level 30 and three Epic slot upgrades fit the trio.

Keep Viego and cheap setup such as Hapless Aristocrat or Fading Icon. Count both the mana spent developing bodies and the remaining discount. A wide opening can make him early, but the relics do not guarantee a turn-one champion without enough setup.

After entry, keep making useful slays with tools such as Shape of Fear and Death's Grasp. The champion’s first-other-ally-death trigger and star-power first-slay triggers are limited each round; do not expect a fresh Mist from every sacrifice.

Put a Mist immediately to his right on an attack to copy it. Leave space for the copied follower and subsequent summons. At six stars, each Mist also raises allied Power Everywhere, so your whole board becomes a threat. Attack only when the champion can survive the blockers; the build has no automatic combat immunity or Spellshield.

Take cheap summons, ally-slay tools, useful draw and protection. A starting unit power helps Disciple immediately. Draw-a-champion rewards can find your support champion too, so they do not guarantee the main champion.

Corrupted Star Fragment replacing Gauntlets turns temporary Mist stats into permanent champion growth, but sacrifices starting mana. If using it with Scissors, equip Scissors first so the copy precedes the sacrifice. Black Shield adds protection; Troll King's Crown or The Beast Within supplies Overwhelm below the fourth-star upgrade.

Six-star All Will Serve grants allied Power Everywhere on each Mist summon, making copied Mists improve the entire army. Four-star Crush supplies team Overwhelm. Two-star Harrowed Path discounts eligible allies in hand when an ally with at least four Power dies. Three-star Beyond the Mists II supplies separate first-allied-slay and first-enemy-slay Mist triggers each round. Earlier versions work, but lack the six-star army-wide scaling emphasized here.
