Ahri: Strength of Stone and health-based Nexus strikes

Ahri · from u/Davidesfed98 · 2026-10-18

Retain Formidable and growing Health through Recall, then turn repeated champion plays into direct Nexus strikes.

At a glance

Needs 3★Champion level 30

Overview

Give Ahri Formidable, Recall her with the permanent keyword and buffs intact, then replay her to strike the Nexus using her Health. Repeated summons add more Health and Spirit without spending a separate action on a doubling spell.

Use the two- and three-star powers for buff retention, the Recall discount, and Spirit on summon and Recall. The sixth-star Parting Gift adds another Nexus strike when you Recall an ally. The three-star engine follows the same mechanics, but the original run examples for this build used six stars, so don't treat their speed as a lower-star guarantee.

The build

Echoing Spirit

Seven extra champion copies improve access to the champion and supply more champion spells while she is in play. The champion-spell discount makes repeated Recall easier to fund.

Strength of Stone

The equipped champion gains two Health. Its Power grants every summoned ally one more Health and Formidable. Whispers From Past Lives keeps those permanent buffs and the keyword through Recall, so the same champion grows with each replay.

The Curator's Gatebreaker

Play strikes the enemy Nexus. Its one-Power penalty doesn't reduce a Formidable unit's Health-based strike damage. On the first entry, however, the Play strike can resolve before the summon effect grants Formidable. Don't count that first strike as though all summon buffs had already resolved; later replays retain the keyword.

How to play

  1. Mulligan for Ahri and spare champion copies or another affordable Recall effect. Reserve unit mana for the first play.
  2. Play her and let the summon effects resolve. She now has Formidable, extra Health and Spirit.
  3. Recall that same champion. Her two-star power preserves permanent buffs and keywords and discounts the returned unit. At six stars, Recall also supplies a Nexus strike.
  4. Replay her for another entry strike, then repeat while the hand and mana allow it. Every full summon/Recall cycle adds more permanent growth at three stars.

Keep returning the buffed original rather than starting over with a fresh copy. Damage reduces Formidable's current strike damage, so avoid unnecessary combat before a Nexus strike. Recall the unit resets damage while its permanent buffs are retained, making Recall part of both your damage plan and your recovery.

The relics don't generate unit mana. A cheap champion spell can still leave you short of mana to replay the champion, so calculate the entire cycle before starting it.

Powers and items

Easy Prey is an especially useful opening: its Husks gain the summon bonuses, then pass their stats and keywords to the next ally you play. Let Ahri consume them when it is safe to do so. This concentrates Health in the unit you intend to replay.

Biggledust Stash and Biggledust Sprinkle improve summoned created allies. They help the champion copies created by Echoing Spirit, so check which copy you are playing. Yipp's Genius rewards summons that actually cost one; further discounts to zero can remove that interaction.

Favor permanent Health and affordable Recall access. Avoid cost-increasing items that make every replay harder to fund. The Star of Discovery spell discount is a useful separate constellation purchase; don't assume every account already has it.

Avoid extra Ephemeral champion copies

Skip Stabilize and Shadow Totem for this plan. An extra champion on the board can keep your Recall copy transformed into a champion spell, preventing the immediate replay of the same buffed unit. Ephemeral copies also add survival and timing problems to a sequence built around one persistent champion.

Formidable lets retained Health remain useful through Frostbite, but Health damage and removal can still stop the engine. Keep a Recall available when the enemy can threaten the champion, and don't spend the last defensive answer merely to gain another small stat increase.

Choosing between the Ahri plans

This build grows through repeated summons and Recall. The doubling-spell build can build larger individual hits, but needs the spell and its mana support. You don't have to cast that doubling spell on every replay once its retained stats are sufficient.

At six stars, the Found Fortune build uses draw and Plunder discounts for longer same-round chains. The board-control build spends its entries removing enemy units instead. Choose around your relic collection, constellation nodes and the fight's actual restrictions; none of these comparisons makes one setup universally best.
